In the face of growing environmental challenges and the urgent need for sustainable solutions, industries worldwide are re-evaluating their processes and strategies. One sector undergoing significant transformation is welding, a critical component in manufacturing and construction.
We at Quantified Impacts are proud to be a partner of the EU-funded project called GREENWELD. A project with a goal of giving you specific knowledge and skills to utilise greener procedures and take actions that minimise the impact of welding.
Key Objectives of GREENWELD
GREENWELD is dedicated to enhancing the welding process chain with a sustainability focus. The project targets the following objectives:
- Identifying Green Skills for Future Curriculums: By pinpointing essential green skills, GREENWELD ensures that future welding professionals are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to contribute to a sustainable industry.
- Revising EWF Welders Qualification: The project will revise existing qualifications to incorporate green skills, ensuring that certified welders meet contemporary environmental standards.
- Integrating New Training Programs: New training modules will be developed to cover green skills comprehensively, preparing welders for the demands of a greener economy.
- Innovative Learning Methods: GREENWELD will employ cutting-edge learning methods such as Virtual Reality (VR), Gamification, and Welding Simulation to enhance training effectiveness and engagement.
Quantified Impacts as a partner
As a proud partner of GREENWELD our role in the project is to identify and address skill gaps in the welding field with a greener approach. By doing so, we aim to elevate the industry’s perspective on upcoming curricula and training materials, ensuring they align with sustainability goals.
With this project we are committed to enhancing the educational framework for welding professionals, fostering a generation of welders who are not only technically proficient but also environmentally conscious.
